An elevator descends into a mine shaft at the rate of 5m/min. The descent starts from 20 m above sea level. Where will it reach in 20 minutes ? How long will it take to reach a depth of -350 m?

total distance covered = total time taken × speed

= 20×5

= 100 m below ground

total distance to be covered = 370 m

time taken = 370/5

= 74 min
