EXPLANATION.

  • GIVEN

Elevator descends into a mine shaft at the

rate of 6 m/min.

if descent starts from 10 m above the ground level.

to find how long will it take to reach 350 m.

according to the question,

Total distance from A to c is

350 + 10 = 360 m

speed = 6 m/min

   \bigstar\blue{\boxed{time \:  =  \frac{total \:  \: distance \:  \: covered}{speed}}}

t \:  =  \frac{360}{6}

t = 60 minutes

Therefore,

60 minutes will it take to reach 350 m
