.An elevator is 25 m below the ground level and it
ascends at the rate of 5 m/min. Find the time taken
by it to reach 50 m above the ground.

  • speed = 5m/min
  • time it takes to go above the ground= time=distance/speed
  • 25m/5m per min
  • 5 min
  • then above the ground = 50m /5 m per min
  • 10 min
  • then add both the time 5min + 10min= 15min is the answer
