Answer:

Here u go Ash

The standard equation of a circle with centre (a,b),and radius r

is:

 (x−a)²+(y−b)²=r²

so for : x²+y²+4x−2y=−1 we will have to complete the square before we can identify the radius.

x²+y²+4x−2y=−1

x²+4x+y²−2y=−1

(x²+4x)+(y²−2y)=−1

(x²+4x+2²)−2²+(y²−2y+1²)−12=−1

(x+2)²−4+(y−1)²−1=−1

(x+2)²+(y−1)²=−1+1+4

(x+2)²+(y−1)²=4

comparing with (x−a)²+(y−b)²=r²

radius=√4=2

for good measure centre (−2,1)

HOPE IT HELPS
