for 1 day he will get = 200 rupees.
Now,
for 30 day he will get = 200 × 30 = 6000.
but if he absent then he has to pay = 200 + 20
= 220.
amount he received = 3800.
amount he loss by persuing fine = 6000 -- 3800 = 2200.
no. of days he absent = amount total loss / amount loss in 1 days.
= 2200 /220
= 10.
( Therefore, the employee is absent for 10 days.)
