An empty bottle of 25 ml capacity weighs 22.6 grams. When completely filled with turpentine oil, it weighs 43.8 gram. Find the density of turpentine oil. ​

Explanation:

Given, Volume of bottle = 25 ml

           Initial Mass of bottle = 22.6 gm

           Final Mass of bottle = 43.8 gm

⇒ Density of turpentine oil  = Change in mass / Change in volume

⇒ ρ = (43.8 - 22.6) / (25 - 0)   [∵  Initially, bottle was empty]

       = 21.2 / 25                       [∵ 1 ml = 1 cm³ ,so no need to do any change]

       = 0.848 g / cm³
