An empty density bottle has a mass of 100g when it is full with water the mass is 200g, but when filled with a given liquid the mass becomes 300g, find:
(i) relative density
(i) the density of liquid if the water is 1.0g/cm³

density = mass/ volume

mass of empty bottle=25g

mass of bottle filled with water=50g

mass of liquid =25g

volume of liquid=25ml

volume of mercury=25ml

mass of mercury=365−25=340g

density of mercury=340/25=13.6 g/cm
