An empty SG bottle weighs 25g.When filled with water completely it weighs 55 g and with alcohol it weighs 48g. Find the RD of alcohol

mass of SG bottle with water = 55g

So, mass of water = ( 55-25)g = 30g

mass of SG bottle with alcohol = 48g

So, mass of alcohol = (48-25) = 23g

Therefore , RD of alcohol is =

= mass of certain volume of alcohol / mass of water of same volume at 4°C

= 23 / 30

= 0.767 ( it is a ratio so there will be no unit)
