An engine pumps out 40kg of water in one second. the water comes out vertically upwards with a velocity of 3m/s. what is the power of engine in kilowatt

Power (p)= total energy(E) / time(t) E= 1/2 mv²= 1/2 * 40* 3² = 180 t = 1 sec. (According to question) Therefore p = 180/1 = 180 watt
