Each correct answer gives 1 mark

negative mark of 1/4 for each incorrect answer.

To Find :  the opportunity cost of 30 incorrect questions

A.7.5

B.30

C.37.5

D. can't be determined

Solution:

30 incorrect questions

One incorrect Question  = -1/4

=> 30  incorrect Questions  = 30 * ( -1/4)  = -7.5

Best could have been all 30 answers are correct

Hence Marks would have been = 30 (1) = 30  

Opportunity cost =  Best possible - Actual

= 30 - (-7.5)

= 37.5

opportunity cost of 30 incorrect questions is 37.5
