Given:

Consider the given equation is 7 = 2 + 5y

Find:

The right hand side (RHS) value

Solution:

If any equation having the form ax  + by  = c then the value ax + by is called left hand side that is LHS and the value c is called right hand side that is RHS

Here 2 + 5y is the RHS

We can also simplifying by subtracting 2 from both the sides

7 -2 = 2 + 5y -2

5 = 5y

Divide by 5 on the both sides

1 = y

The value of y will be 1.
