Answer:

SINCE Perimeter Are Equal

Perimeter Of ∆ = Perimeter of Square

3×side = 4×SIDE

3×9.6 = 4×SIDE

3×2.4 = SIDE

7.2 cm = SIDE OF SQUARE

Given

An equilateral triangle and a square have equal perimeter. Side of triangle is 9.6 cm.

To Find

Side of square.

Answer and explanation

Given that both have same perimeter.

So.

Perimeter of equilateral triangle = Perimeter of square

Perimeter of equilateral triangle is 3 ( side ) and of square is 4 ( side) because both have sides of equal length

So

3 ( side ) = 4 ( side )

3(9.6) = 4( side )

 \frac{3}{4} \times 9.6 = side

 \frac{3}{4} \times \frac{96}{10} = side

7.2 = side

Thus side of square is 7.2 cm
