an equilateral triangle is built on the side of a rhombus. If the side of the triangle is 5/3 m long, then find the perimeter of the figure formed?

We know that in a rhombus all the sides are equal.

From the question it is clear that both the rhombus and the equilateral triangle share a common side.

So if one of the sides of the triangle is 5/3cm, then the other two sides also measure the same.

Even all the sides of the rhombus measure 5/3cm.

Thus the figure formed is a regular pentagon

The perimeter of that pentagon will be

5/3 + 5/3 + 5/3+ 5/3 + 5/3

=25/3cm
