Answsr is 4.04 %.

Let the new side be of 100 units , then its will be 10,000 square units .

Now , error measure of side = 102 units

Now , area of square created by error side will be 102 × 102 = 10,404 square units .

Now , percentage of error = { ( 10,404 - 10,000 ) / 10,000 } × 100

=> 404 / 100 = 4.04 %

Hence , percentage error = 4.04 %
