This park is known to be one of the oldest parks in Assam. The Kaziranga National Park covers a vast area along the river Brahmaputra on the North and the Karbi Anglong Hills on the South. Kaziranga National Park is declared as the World Heritage Site as it is the largest habitat of One Horned Rhinoceros. Earlier it was reserved forest, but in 1974 it was declared as a National Park.

There are many species of Flora and Fauna found in the park. Kaziranga is the habitat of the world’s largest number of Rhinos and Elephants. Apart from that, different kinds of Deer, Buffalos, Tigers, and Birds can be found in the Kaziranga National Park. Many migratory birds visit the park in different seasons.

Annual Flood is a major problem for the park. Every year flood causes a lot of harm to the animals of the park. It is a pride of our country and thus it is very much necessary to conserve the Wildlife of Kaziranga National Park.
