friend, first of all you will have to get information about diwali festival. this is celebrated for three days in most of the localities. first day we fill up water in the vessels. we get up early in the morning and take bath and then all the ladies and girls of the house will do arati for the gents of the house and wish them good luck. the gents offer some money in return to the ladies. during all the tree days of Diwali, sweet and special food is prepared and consumed. then second day the doors are decorated with mango leaves and laxmi pooja is performed. then the last day, as a symbol of return of the pandavas, the pandavas are prepared using cow-dung and the leg like symbols are made through out the house. during these days, many lamps and dias re lightened and kept outside the house and it is decorated with flowers and a lamp is hung outside the house. some people let the lamps fly in the sky. during there days lamps are said to vanish the darkness and thay bring the knowledge and destroy the foolishness and bad qualities.
