If we enumerate all the things we make use of daily and examine the history of all those things before they reached us, we can understand how many of them has science in their making. We use our surrounding environment like air to breathe, water to drink, food to nourish ourselves and grow ,and shelter to protect ouselves , clothing to cover and protect our body  and many other things to make ourselves convenient  and reduce our effort and tiredness and  to keep us happy. A cursory examination makes us feel that there so many things which are  the products science and technology.

Necessiis the mother of invention. Man has read the book of nature and finds how he can make use of nature for himself respecting all the natural existence.

Science is a collection systematic knowledge regarding our surrounding and how best we can make use of them for ourselves as well as all for all living beings. Probably the type of kwoledge had its accelerated  growing after the 18th century onwards.History gives lot of facts and reasons. The result is we know how to replace human/animal labour with machines and produce more, how the water and wind power can be translated into electricity, the easiest portable power now, how we can share our knowedge as many people as possible but as quickly as possible using communication equipments and technology. The areas of benifits are transport (compare it to around 200 tears back), industrial production, agriculture, shelter, food production, water management, urbanisation, entertainment  and finally  managing with the environment itself. All these are part of our daily living, where science is contributing every second.

Just think of for a moment a failure of electricity or water , we feel the part played by science in our daily life. From the tiniest particle of an atom to the vast universe we had accumulated  a very small part of infinite knowledge of nature and we are in continuous persuit of it . Why? It is for you think.
