‘HOME’, this word speaks in itself. A Home is different from a house. A house is what an architect makes, but an accomodation is what we make as a family. A HOME is a combination of love, affection, care, responsibility, protection, dutifulness and many other small but important values, along with the individuals working together.
As distinctive beings, all of us have some sort of duty and a sense of belongingness towards our realms. In fact, we can even give away our own lives to protect our cradles. Now, how much do we love our homes is reflected when we are out for a tour and we are asked to stay in a hotel. And then, when we get back home, the only thing we are reminded of is, “HOME SWEET HOME”. Isn’t that amazing that despite the flaws we find in our own residential places, we still love it, and cannot be separated from them.
Now, all of us live in a country and we love each other. In fact, even our Preamble spreads the value of Fraternity among the individuals. This suggests that we are a family, a combined family, which has a sense of brotherhood among all the family members, no matter whether it’s members are young or old, literate or illiterate, employed or unemployed, rich or working, healthy or weak.
A kin has got some relations to follow, some duties to perform, and some tasks to do. But, how do we do it, depends purely upon us. And now, when we are clear with the word family, and we regard whole of our nation together, we can regard our country as a home. But then, as we protect our own family, we need to take preventive measures to protect our common home as well, because family would only survive when there’s peace and security in the nation.
So now, it is the responsibility of every individual to take up the initiative to protect our Motherland. For doing so, the first thing we require is a change in our thinking. We need to overcome our superstitious beliefs and learn to be a bit pragmatic. We need to have faith, not blindfaith, we need to have justice, not corruption, we need to have self – esteem, not overconfidence, we need to have trust, not misbelief. And then only we can have a nation that is prosperous, developing and encouraging.
Our country India, is developed in all aspects. But, still it comes in the category of developing countries. It is estimated that the 20% of the world’s richest persons belong to India. But still, it has a very low per capita income. Our country has given births to legends like Aryabhatta, APJ Abdul Kalam, Chanakya, Birbal,Tenali Rama, but still our country is educationally backward. The reason of all this is overpopulation and undesirable misbeliefs caused due to illiteracy.
Our country possesses resources, but we are not able to make judicious use of it, because of overpopulation . Our population is growing geometrically and the food crops grow arithmetically, leading to food shortage. Had there been a proper control on increasing population, had the people in the countryside taught their children well, had the students possessed the zeal to study, our situation would not be so stupendous.
Therefore, if we wish to reduce overpopulation , decrease the death
rates, finish off terrorism, spread humanity and feminism, possess scientific
thinking and demarcate social strifes, we need to spread literacy. That would
be the only way to protect our nation from such frightful acts.
Our mother Earth, which bears us in our hands, and bestows nature's finest blessings upon us, is something each and everyone of us has in common. We all have a special sense of accountability towards it, in addition to protecting our national interests, we must take the leadership in protecting the common interests of humanity.
It is our duty, that once we have brought life into the world, we ought to protect it, no matter, whether we do so at the expense of our own lives.
We shall remember that :
WHEN WE HEAL EARTH, WE HEAL OURSELVES, BECAUSE THE EARTH DOES NOT BELONGS TO US, WE BELONG TO IT.....
After all,
An investment isn't an investment if it destroys our planet.....
And at last,
DO EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT LOVE SO THAT IT ENDURES FOREVER......
