Beautiful South Korea is also known as THE LAND OF MORNING CALM. The country’s history has been shaped by frequent invasions from its neighbors. Korean history is divided into three main periods: the silla (668-935), Koryo (935-1392), and Yi (1392-1910) dynasties. The name “Korea” is derived from the middle dynasty of Koryo. It is one of the most homogeneous countries in the world in which it has its own culture, language and customs that are different from other Asian countries In South Korea, the citizens greatly value hard work, filial piety, and humility in their daily lives. They are very proud people in which they pride themselves in their traditional culture and their financial success

Initially the entire Korean peninsula was one nation, but after the Wars it was divided into North Korea and South Korea. There are three major dynasties or periods in the Korean history, the first one is called the Silla period from 668- 935 AD, the Korea period 935 to 1392, and the Yi period from 1392 to 1912, followed by a communist regime. The name 'Korea comes from the middle period'. 'South Korea' is one of the most homogenous countries in the world, having its unique culture, traditions, cuisines, etc. It differs from other Asian countries. The people of 'South Korea' values 'hard work', 'filial piety', and 'humility' in their daily lives and are very proud of  their  culture, values, heritage and traditions.
