an essay
The structure should be (total 500 words- you may go over this which is fine but going over 600 words is too much.
a) Introduction (maybe about 100 words approx): identify the mississippi and write some basic facts of the river such as where it's located, length, width, size and the significance of it, perhaps brief history. State what your response will cover. State why your water source is important and emphasise that different natural/human processes affects/influences how much and where the water has gone to etc.
b) BODY- (about 400 words (200 each paragraph) approximately)
i. Body paragraph 1: write about how natural elements affect the mississippi. So like what's the climate there? what's the temperature? Weather? How do these factors affect how much water is available at different times of the year? How does it affect people/wildlife who want access to it?
ii. Body paragraph 2: write about the human elements that affect your chosen river Who uses the water source? (what kinds of people, what kinds of animals) What do they use it for? (transport?drinking?washing?) How does this affect how much water is available?
c) Conclusion (about 50 words approx): sum up your response, as in, overall why is the mississippi river is important to the people there or society in general?
