let the no of question of = x

So no of question of 4 marks = 40-x

according to question -

2x+ 4(40 - x) = 100

2x + 160 - 4x = 100

2x + 160 = 100

2x = 160 - 100

2x = 60  \\  = 30

So, 2 mark question = 30

4 mark question = 10
