An examination hall is 12 metre long and 9 metre broad.How many tiles will be required to pave the flooring,if one tile is 40 cm long and 15 cn broad? Calculate the cost of paving the floor at the rate of rupees 15 per tile

Area of hall = 12*9= 108m sq.
Area of tile = 40 *15= 600cm sq. = 6 m sq.
No.of tiles = area of hall divided by area of tiles
= 108 divided by 6
= 18 tiles
Cost = 18 multipled by 15
= 270rupees
