Neutrophils is an example of innate immunity.
Immune system is a defense mechanism which plays its role immediately or within hours of an antigen's appearance in the body.
Neutrophils is the first immune cells which defends against infection.
It consumes bacteria and also some foreign cells.
Granules which are present in neutrophils release certain enzymes to kill such cells and digest these types of cells.
Neutrophils plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of a broad range of diseases .
