The women during Rajput period had very low status. The rights of women were orthodox and miserly.
- Low-class Rajput women were adamantly denied the moral right to study scriptures and vedas.
- In possible terms of culture and men, women were also expected to pursue higher values.
- They were expected to gladly sacrifice themselves, along with their deceased husbands, by merely sitting atop on the burning flame. This discriminatory practice was commonly identified as the Sati tradition.
