The women during Rajput period had very low status. The rights for women were orthodox and miserly.

  • In possible terms of culture and citizens, women were always expected to pursue a set of higher moral and cultural values.
  • Low-class Rajput women were adamantly denied the moral right to study scriptures and vedas.
  • They were expected to gladly sacrifice themselves, along with their deceased husbands, by merely sitting atop on the burning flame. This discriminatory practice was commonly identified as the Sati tradition.
