Acceleration is defined as the rate at which velocity changes with respect to time.
For example :-
An object at rest has no acceleration because it velocity is constant (0).
An object moving at constant velocity means dv/dt = 0. (velocity does no change with varying time).
An object in mechanical equilibrium is at rest (equal forces in all direction hold an object still).

HEY MATE ^_^
You are all explaining this in tedious and hard ways..........
If an object has acceleration, in simple terms, means that every second it will move faster and faster than before.
The rate at which this happens is how it’s noted. Ex, 3km/s
Now. No acceleration means no change in velocity. For example an apple thrown in space. It will not stop moving or move at a different velocity.........
HOPE IT HELPS!
