An experiment was conducted by a student to determine the role of soil water in the transportation of materials in plants. Plant A was watered daily for a month; however, plant B was not watered for a month. It was observed by the student that the plant that was watered daily was healthy and fresh, while plant B was dead. What could be the reason for observing this difference?

Answer:

Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy, normally from the Sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the organisms activities. Since pot B is placed in dark, there is no sunlight for the plant to make food. So, the plant died.

So, the correct answer is option B.

the reason is obvious that plants use water in the soil through osmosis in the lack of water in soil plant becomes unhealthy and not fresh
