it can't be heard because no sound waves will be produced(as no material between moon and earth). however the we can see it after a small instant of time( the time light waves take to travel from moon to earth)

Speed of light=300000 km/sec
Speed of sound=0.343 km/sec
So definitely it will not be heard instantly. Light will be seen first then after some time, sound of the explosion will be heard.
But yes, sound don't travel in vacuum.
