length of the train = 80 m

length if the platform = 220 m

speed of the train = 45 km/hr

since the length of the train and platform is given in m so the speed should be converted to m/s.

therefore speed =

 = 45 \times \frac{1000m}{3600s} \\ = 45 \times \frac{5}{18} \\ = 2.5 \times 5 \\ = 12.5

12.5m/s.

also the train is crossing a platform so it travels the length of platform along with its own length.

so distance = 220 + 80 = 300m

therefore time =

 = \frac{distance}{speed} \\ = \frac{300}{12.5} \\ = 24

24 seconds
