Speed = 72 km/hr

= 72 * 5/18 m/s

= 20 m/s

The train passed its own distance when it passed the pole.

So distance covered by the train when it crossed the pole = 20 * 12 m = 240m

The train covered its own length + the length of the tunnel = 240 + 80 = 320m

Time taken to cover 320m (when it crossed the tunnel) = 320/20 = 16 sec

Hey mate, you can put the formula :

make speed in m/s..72×5/18=20m/s

distance or length = speed×time.
