An heavy object of mass M and object of mass m are allowed to fall down from the same height .If both of them experience the same air resistance which will come to the ground first .justify your answer.(hint:acceleration =net force ÷mass)​.

When the objects are dropped, force of gravity acts on them.

Force acting on mass "M" = Mg &

Force acting on mass "m" = mg

(where "g" is acceleration due to gravity)

We know that Acceleration = Force/mass

Hence Acceleration of mass M =Mg/M

= g

And acceleration of mass m = mg/m

=g

As we see that both the bodies have same acceleration, they reach the ground at the same time.
