An hexagonal shaped table mat is made by stitching equilateral triangular pieces of cloth .The perimeter of each equilateral triangular piece is 30 cm , find the area of table mat .

perimeter of hexagon = 30×6=180
area of hexagon =?
6s=180
s=30

30 \times 30 \times 6 \times  \sqrt{3}     \div 4 =
area=1250√3

the perimeter of triangle =30cm
the side of triangle=30/3=10cm

the area of hexagonal shaped table mat =
6 \times  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  \times  {side}^{2}
=6×√3/4×10×10
=25√3×6
=150√3
