8% is the probability they don’t like either of them

Step-by-step explanation:

An Ice-cream cafe has 200 customers every day. 60% of them like vanilla flavor and 80% of them like mango flavor.

Probability of liking Vanilla flavour  =  0.6

Probability of not liking Vanilla flavour  = 0.4

Probability of liking Mango flavour  =  0.8

Probability of not liking Mango flavour  = 0.2

Probability of not liking any flavour = (0.4)(0.2)

= 0.08

= 8 %

8% is the probability they don’t like either of them.

The probability of randomly selecting when they don't like either of them is 8%

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of liking vanilla flavor = 60%

Probability of not liking vanilla flavor = 1 - 60% = 40%

Probability of liking mango flavor = 80%

Probability of liking not mango flavor = 1 - 80% = 20%

The probability of randomly selecting the not liking flavor:

P = 40% × 20%

P = 40/100 × 20/100

P = 0.4 × 0.2

∴ P = 0.08 × 100 = 8%
