An ice cream vendor bought 48 orange-bars at 4 each and 25 vanilla cups at 9 each. He spent 3 on storage. If he sold all the orange-bars for R240, all the vanilla cups for 200, and the remaining ice for 1. find his net loss or gann.

Cost of orange bars= Rs.48×4=Rs.192

Cost of vanilla cups= Rs.25×9=Rs.225

and Rs.3 is spent on storage

Therefore, total C.P= Rs.(192+225+3)

=Rs.(195+225)

=Rs.420

Selling price= Rs.240+Rs.200+Rs.1=Rs.441

∴ Net gain= Rs.441−Rs.420=Rs.21
