Volume above water = V
volume below water = V'
seawater density x V' = ice density x V
1.03 x V' = 0.92 x V
V'/V = fraction below water = 0.89

Fraction above water = 1 - fraction below water
= 0.11

Mg=Vin* rho* g or Vin*rho*g

Or Vin=(rho of water/rho of ice)*V

So Vout=V-Vin=V(1-rho of water /rho of ice)

Or fout=Vout/V=(1-rho of water/rho of ice)

=(1-0.92/1.03)=0.11/1.03=0.106 or fout =10.6%
