The work done in kJ is (B) – 0.9

- Given :

Initial volume, V1 = 1 L

Final volume, V2 = 10 L

Pressure = 1 bar

- Work done = - PΔV

W = - P × (V2 - V1)

W = - 1 × (10 - 1)

W = -9 bar L

W = -9 × 10⁵ × 10⁻³ Pa m³

W = -9 × 10² J

W = -900 J

W = -0.9 kJ

- So the correct answer is option (B)
