An ideal gas is taken through an isothermal process. If it does 2000 J of work on its environment, how much heat is added to it?

In an isothermal process if heat is released from an ideal gas than the gas will do nagative work since ideal gas is going through isothermal process . (Constant temperature process) ,so during the whole process change in its internal energy is zero.
