Given :

Length of liquid column= L

Acceleration of lift = a

To find :

Time period = ?

Solution :

  • The resultant acceleration of the liquid column would be g+a as it is moving in upward direction
  • Time period (T) = 2π ×√(l/g)
  • By substistuting the value of resultant acceleration

       T = 2π ×√(l/g+a)

The time period is T = 2π ×√(l/g+a)
