radius  of curvature of convex mirror = 30 cm

focal length of convex mirror  f = r/2 =  30/2= 15cm

now applying mirror formula

1/f= 1/v + 1/u

1/15 = 1/v + 1/- 20

1/v = 1/15+ 1/20=

So the distance is formed on the opposite side of the object at a distance of 10 cm from the mirror
