there are two ways to write irrational number between two rational number

1) using surds

An irrational number between two rational numbers a and b is √ab

thus, irrational number between 5/7 and 7/9

= √( 5/7*7/9)

= √(5/9)

= √5 / 3

2) using decimal representation

5/7 = 0.714285714......

7/9 = 0.777777.........

irrational number between these two is

0.720200200020000......

all we have to do is to create a non terminating non recurring decimal number between two given decimal numbers. we can create as many as we like with ease.

(note: if only one irrational number is to be found, method one is good, if more than one irrational numbers are to be found, use method 2, unless the question requires to follow any particular method)
