Given:

An inclined plane raised 7 in 25. A block placed on this plane is just about to slide down.

To Find:

What is co-efficient of static friction between the block and the inclined plane ?

Solution:

Here it is given that inclined plane raised 7 in 25 means:

For a horizontal distance 25 units, there are raised in vertical distance is 7 units:

Means:

\mathbf{\tan \alpha =\dfrac{7}{25}}

Where α is inclination of plane with horizontal,after increase in inclination value.There are a certain value of inclination angle α at which object just start to slide:

This angle is called angle of repose:

At this instant angle of repose is equal to co-efficient of friction:

Co-efficient of friction = Angle of repose

\mathbf{Co-efficient\ of\ friction=\tan \alpha =\dfrac{7}{25}}

Means option B is correct.

Answer:

Same question I was also having doubt I got coefficient = tan alpha = 7/25

But in deepthi eamcet physics they gave correct answer as 7/24 so I am also not confirmed with answer
