An increase in the temperature of water bodies due to release of hot water used in industries is known as thermal pollution. A sudden variation of temperature kills many aquatic organisms. This is known as thermal shock. Why do you think this happens ?

Because they cant able bear or accomodate with the sudden drastic change in surrounding conditions
