Given,

L = 5H

C = 10μF

R = 20Ω

Calculating Inductive reactance,

X(l) = 2πfL

X(l) = 2×3.14×50×5

X(l) ~ 1570Ω

Calculating Capacitive reactance,

X(c) = 1/2πfC

X(c) = 1/2×3.14×50×10×10^-6

X(c) ~ 318.5Ω

Now Impedence,

Z = √[R²+{X(l)–X(c)}²]

Z = √[400 + {1570–318.5}²]

Z ~ 1251.6Ω

Now Circuit current,

I = V/Z

I = 220/1251.6

I ~ 0.176Ω

Power Factor,

cos∅ = R/Z

cos∅ = 20/1251.6

cos∅ = 0.016
