Actually, inference means using information and knowledge to come to a conclusion. It is an idea or conclusion which is drawn from evidence. A person reads between the lines to make an inference. In order to make an inference a person uses what he knows to guess what he does not know. He uses his previous knowledge and textual information to arrive at conclusions.
