The anterior ciliary artery , long posterior ciliary artery form an arterial circle at the base of Iris .
Branches from this circle supply both the Iris and ciliary body.
Since the ciliary body and Iris have a common blood supply
Any infection of the Iris spreads to ciliary body too.
This presents as circumcorneal congestion in the eye like in the image
