An inflated balloon bursts if you slightly push it's surface with the pointed tip of a pencil. However, it does not burst if you push it gently with your finger. Why?

Always when surface area of the object is lesser, the pressure is greater and when surface area of the object increases, the pressure decreases .
So when we use the pencil ,that balloon bursts but not in the case of when we use our fingers.
(Hint - pressure = thrust/area)
