An inflated balloon bursts if you slightly push its surface with the pointed tip of a pencil . How ever ,it doesn't burst if you push it gently with your finger .Why ?

when we push its surface with our finger, the surface area in contact with its surface is more so ultimately pressure will be less and balloon does not burst & when we push it with pointed tip of pencil, the surface area in contact with its surface is less and pressure is more and balloon bursts out !!!!!!

Answer:Always when surface area of the object is lesser, the pressure is greater and when surface area of the object increases, the pressure decreases .
So when we use the pencil ,that balloon bursts but not in the case of when we use our fingers.
