An inflated balloon full of air goes down slowly, i.e. becomes smaller and smaller slowly even though the knot at the mouth of the balloon is alright. And after a week all the air has escaped from the balloon. Explain how the air particles got out of the balloon.

Answer:

The density of cotton bag is less than that of the iron bar, so the volume of cotton bag is more compared to iron bar. So the cotton bag experience more up thrust due to the presence of air. Therefore in the presence of air the true weight of cotton bag is more compared to the true weight of iron bar.
