An inflated balloon will shrink if it is placed in a refrigerator.What does the lower temperature cause the gas particles in the balloon due to which it shrinks?

  Since the fridge is colder, it causes the air molecules in the balloon to reduce in temperature. This reduction in temperature is directly related to the kinetic energy of the air molecules in the balloon. The lower the temperature, the lower the kinetic energy. This means that the air molecules dont run into each other as much and don't run into the balloon wall as much, making it shrink
