An inflectional suffix means the suffix which does not change the meaning of the original word or just changing the present tense into past tense
example : Walk - walked

A derivational suffix means the suffix means the new word has a new meaning
Example : Teach - teacher, care- careful

Inflectional suffix – The suffix which when added to the original word, does not change the meaning of the original word is called Inflectional suffix.

For exa.  changing singular to plural (book – books), changing present tense to past tense (talk-talked), degrees of comparisons (big-bigger-biggest)

Derivational suffix - The suffix which when added to the original word, the new word is derived from it is called Derivational suffix. The new word has a new meaning and the new meaning is related to the original word.

For exa. verb – noun (teach – teacher), verb – noun or adjective (help – helpful or help – helper)
